About this place
When the doors open at 8:00, the aroma of brewed coffee and fresh bread offers a gentle start to the day. Nestled in a quiet residential corner of Kaminakazato, Cafe Forte provides wholesome home-style cooking from morning through lunch. Freshly baked croissants, scones, and simple, lightly sweet doughnuts are popular counter items, suited just as well to enjoying inside with freshly brewed coffee as they are to taking home for an afternoon snack.
At lunchtime, this small cafe occasionally serves traditional Japanese fare, including gomoku inari, chirashizushi, and home-style side dishes. Bowls of miso soup made with carefully simmered dashi broth and refreshing citrus-accented seasonings appear across small dishes that feel closely tied to everyday home cooking. Lighter bites like toast are also available, making it easy to tailor your visit whether you want a full meal or a quick bite.
The cafe opens three days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 8:00 to 2:00, and accepts cash only. Stepping in feels much like visiting someone's home, where you can unwind over a warm plate and a quiet cup of coffee.
